STAR Puppy

Give your puppy the best possible start with our AKC STAR Puppy class—a six-week program designed to turn chaos into confidence. In weekly one-hour sessions, we'll guide you through the basics every puppy needs, including sit, down, stay, recall, settling, and loose leash walking. We also tackle real-life puppy struggles like potty training, chewing, handling, and nail trims—so you feel prepared at home, not just in class. Your puppy will also get valuable, structured socialization time to build confidence and learn appropriate behavior around other dogs and people. At the end of the course, your puppy can be evaluated for the AKC STAR Puppy certification—setting the stage for future training, including advanced obedience or dog sports.

Advanced Puppy

Take your puppy beyond the basics. For puppies under one year who have completed STAR Puppy or a similar program, this class is all about reliability and real-world success. We refine core behaviors, introduce higher-level distractions, and build your puppy's ability to think, focus, and respond—even in challenging environments. Supervised playtime is included, with groups thoughtfully matched by size and temperament to encourage safe, appropriate social interaction.

Good Dog 101

Good Dog 101 is designed to help you create a dog you can truly live with and enjoy. Open to dogs ready for a group class environment, this program focuses on practical obedience and real-life skills—so your dog listens not just at home, but out in the world. You'll build reliable behaviors like sit, down, stay, recall, settling, and loose leash walking, while also working on important everyday skills like drop it, nail trims, and grooming. It's the ideal foundation for a well-mannered companion and a stepping stone toward advanced training like CGC, agility, rally, and obedience.

Good Dog 201

Designed for dogs who have completed Good Dog 101 or an equivalent program, this class focuses on building reliability, consistency, and focus—especially around distractions. We help bridge the gap between basic obedience and real-world performance, so your dog listens when it matters most.

Canine Good Citizen

AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) is for dogs ready to demonstrate true reliability and good manners in the real world. This class focuses on all CGC test elements, with individualized coaching to help your dog perform with confidence, focus, and consistency. Whether your goal is certification, advanced training, or simply a well-mannered companion, this class helps you get there. An independent AKC CGC evaluator administers the test at the end of the course.

About the Town

About Town takes your training beyond the classroom and into real life. Designed for teams with a strong foundation, this class helps your dog learn to stay calm, focused, and responsive in new environments. After the first session at Bell Creek, each week brings a new location—giving you the opportunity to practice skills where they matter most. It's the perfect step for building confidence, reliability, and a dog you can take anywhere. Prerequisite: STAR Puppy, Good Dog 101, or instructor permission.

Hiking with Your Dog

4 weeks (1.5 hrs per session)

Hit the trails with your pup while building real-world obedience skills in a fun, natural setting. This class takes you and your dog onto dog-friendly hiking trails, where you'll practice essential skills like loose leash walking, recall, and focus—so your dog stays responsive and under control around other hikers, dogs, and wildlife. We'll also work on trail-specific skills such as "watch me," "leave it," and attention exercises to help your dog stay engaged with you in distracting environments. Equipment: Please bring a well-fitted collar or harness, leash, long line, and treats. Note: Dogs must be able to work safely in a group setting. Dogs with aggression should complete private training prior to joining. No females in season.

Private Obedience Lessons

Ideal for one dog or two lower energy pups. Fully customizable experience—great if your schedule doesn't allow classes, your pup isn't ready for a class environment, or you want to advance faster. Held at Bell Creek. Dogs must be current on vaccines. Bitches in season allowed in dog panties. Contact us or book online to schedule.

Agility

Agility is a fast-paced sport where dogs navigate a timed obstacle course that may include jumps, tunnels, contacts, and weave poles, guided by their handler. Agility builds confidence, focus, and teamwork while providing excellent physical and mental exercise.

Agility 1 - Intro to Agility

Introduce dogs to all obstacles at their easiest settings, starting foundation training for stopped contacts and handling techniques. On-leash class. Safe for dogs of all ages. Dogs must be under owner control and non-aggressive.

Agility 2

6 weeks

Lay the foundation for great teamwork on and off the field. Open to dogs 6+ months. Covers all standard equipment: teeter, tire, table, dog-walk, a-frame, weaves, tunnels, low jumps, and sequencing. Build drive and teamwork. Prerequisite: Agility 1 or instructor permission.

Agility 3

Progress to closed weaving, increased teeter height, and longer sequencing. Continue building confidence, equipment knowledge, and drive. Prerequisite: Agility 2 or instructor permission.

Work weave entries with increasing difficulty, equipment at full height, and increased sequencing complexity. Polish and proof skills. Open to dogs able to run full-sized obstacles and closed weaves. Prerequisite: Agility 3 or instructor permission.

Scent Work taps into a dog's natural ability to use their nose by teaching them to search for specific target odors in a variety of environments. It's low-impact, suitable for all ages and breeds, and especially beneficial for dogs who thrive with mental challenges.

Rally & Competition Obedience

Rally and Obedience focus on teamwork and precision through a variety of structured exercises such as heeling, sits, stays, recalls, and position changes. These skills support everyday manners and provide a solid base for many dog sports.

Intro to Rally

Learn the sport of Rally! Covers novice signs, how to read them, and proper execution. A fun way to bond while improving obedience skills. Prerequisite: Good Dog 201 or instructor permission.

Novice-Advanced Rally

In this six-week course, you and your dog will dive into the world of Rally! We'll introduce and break down both Novice and Advanced signs, guiding you step-by-step on how to read each sign, execute the exercises with confidence, and teach your dog the correct positioning for every skill. Whether you're new to Rally or looking to advance your teamwork, this class makes learning fun, clear, and positive for both handlers and dogs.

Rally Excellent-Masters

This six-week class is specially designed for teams preparing to compete in AKC Rally at the Excellent and Masters levels. You'll learn how to confidently read and interpret Excellent/Master signs, and we'll guide you through teaching your dog the precise skills and positioning needed for each exercise.

Novice Obedience

This class is geared to help teams ready to compete in the AKC Novice Obedience Ring and is open to dogs of any age. Teams must already have an understanding of basic obedience. We will cover proper heeling at different speeds, halts, fronts, finishes, recalls, figure-eights, and on-leash stays. Dogs are required to have passed Advanced Puppy, Good Dog 201, or a like-class from another training program.

Open Obedience

Each week, we'll break down specific skills from the Open class—such as off-leash heeling, drop on recall, retrieves, broad jump, and more—using positive, step-by-step methods that set both you and your dog up for success. You'll also get a taste of Utility-level work, including early scent discrimination and directed jumping, so you and your dog are prepared for the next challenge.

Specialty & Fun Classes

Miscellaneous classes are designed to keep dogs learning, moving, and engaged through a variety of activities and skill-building exercises. These classes may focus on fitness, foundation skills, enrichment, or introducing new concepts in a fun and supportive environment. Ongoing training helps keep dogs mentally sharp and physically active while strengthening the bond between dog and handler. Mental engagement reduces boredom, supports confidence, and encourages good behavior, making training an important part of a dog's overall well-being at every life stage.

Dog Sport Sampler Class

Not sure which activity is right for you and your pup? Try them all! Our Dog Sport Sampler is the perfect way to explore a variety of fun dog sports and training activities—without committing to a full course. Each week, you'll get a taste of agility, tricks, rally, and obedience, with hands-on activities that keep things fresh and exciting. Toward the end of the session, we'll also introduce you to scent work, treibball, and AKC FIT Dog, giving you a well-rounded overview of what's possible. This class is ideal for anyone curious about dog sports or looking to discover new ways to bond and have fun with their dog. Come explore, learn, and play—then decide what you and your pup love most!

AKC FIT DOG Combined Levels

The AKC FIT DOG Level 2 course builds off of the fundamental skills and concepts learned in Fit Dog 1 and continues to foster canine conditioning to increase your dog's performance, increase endurance, decrease risk of injury and lower stress levels. This course is designed to inspire dog owners to engage in low impact fitness-related activities, while minimizing the risk of injury or harm due to inexperienced instruction. Canine core and full body fitness are also superb base training for dog teams that participate in agility, scent and nose sports, rally, disc sports, FastCat, etc. The 6 weeklong level two class is for owners who are interested in exploring the world of dog sports and are looking to develop canine conditioning skills. You and your dog will learn proper form for positions, canine fitness safety and skills to help with strength, flexibility, balance, stamina and more. Attendees will track their skills and progress using a provided AKC Skills sheet and will be evaluated at the last class (week 6) by the AKC Fit Dog Instructor/Evaluator and receive an AKC Fit Dog Certificate.

Novice-Intermediate Trick Dog

Whether you are looking to add titles to your dog's name or to teach an old dog new tricks, this is the class for you! In this six-week class, you and your dog will learn a variety of tricks based on the AKC Trick Dog title list. Sessions break down how to teach each trick and ensure both you and your dog are having fun! Dogs of any age may participate.

Intro To Treibball

Treibball is a playful and engaging dog sport that's perfect for building teamwork and communication with your pup! Originating in Germany, it's a bit like a game of soccer—your dog learns to push large balls into a goal, one at a time, while you guide them from a distance. It's a fantastic way to burn energy, boost confidence, and have a ton of fun together. Whether you're just starting out or curious about trying something new, Treibball is a game you and your dog will love!

Intermediate Treibball

Continue learning the growing sport of Treibball! This class is for dogs that have been introduced to the balls, targeting, and movement. You will continue working on those skills, directing your pup and shaping behaviors, all while building teamwork.

AKC FETCH

Whether you are looking to add titles to your dog's name or to teach an old dog new tricks, this is the class for you! In this four-week class, you and your dog will learn how to retrieve balls and bumpers. Dogs should have completed a foundational class prior. On the last day of class, pup's will be tested. Only dog's over six months of age can submit their tests to AKC though.

Bikejoring

Discover the thrill of bikejoring with your dog! This three-week class teaches you how to enjoy bikejoring safely and confidently as a team. The first session meets at our facility for equipment overview and skill basics; the next two classes take you out on the trails for hands-on practice. Please bring your own bike and safety gear. For non-reactive, non-aggressive dogs only.

Golden Years

Golden Years

Keep your dog active, engaged, and thriving through their golden years. Designed for dogs 7 years and older, this class focuses on maintaining both physical health and mental sharpness as your dog ages. We combine light obedience work, fun tricks, and low-impact games to keep your dog moving, thinking, and enjoying life. Weather permitting, classes alternate between our facility and around town, giving dogs the opportunity to practice skills in a variety of environments while staying active in a safe, supportive way. We also provide guidance for owners on how to support their dog through the natural changes that come with aging—helping you adjust routines, expectations, and activities to keep your dog comfortable and confident. This class is about more than training—it's about helping your dog stay happy, healthy, and connected with you for as long as possible. Great for maintaining mobility, confidence, and quality of life in aging dogs.
