What to know before signing up for classes
Class Environment
At Bell Creek, we work hard to teach both dogs and handlers how to work as a team. Our classes are small to ensure lots of individual working time—in classes with 6-8 students we have an assistant to ensure you get the attention your pup deserves.
- •Dogs displaying aggression are not allowed in classes
- •Dogs with reactivity—we will work with privately
- •Dogs with excessive barking or are too out of control will be pulled from classes and offered the chance to work privately until ready
Not sure if your dog is ready for a class setting? Contact us!
Class Schedule & Structure
- •All classes meet weekly for six weeks unless otherwise noted
- •We sometimes have skip weeks due to trials or personal schedules
- •Classes are grouped by category: Agility, Obedience, Rally, Scent Work, and Misc
- •Like us on Facebook for notifications when new classes are posted!
Transferring from another facility? Contact us and we'll help you find the right class.
Junior Handlers
We love working with handlers of all ages! When signing up a junior handler, please note that while you do not need to be on the floor with them, you must remain on the premises for the duration of class.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are available on a variety of topics and are ideal for dogs that are not able to work in a class setting, or for teams that would like more individualized lessons. Contact us to check availability and schedule.
Refund Policy
We understand that plans can change, and we want to be fair while ensuring our small classes stay full for everyone's benefit.
- •50% non-refundable administrative fee applies to all class registrations
- •No refunds within 10 days of class start date—it's difficult to fill spots on short notice
- •50% refund if you cancel before the 10-day window
- •Refunds are not transferable except at our discretion
- •Full refunds given if the class is cancelled by Bell Creek
- •Packages are non-refundable
To guarantee your spot in class or lesson, it must be paid for prior to the start of class.
Make-Up Classes
- •We try to accommodate students, but make-ups may not be possible depending on class type and availability
- •Foundation obedience: 1-2 make-up lessons allowed for injury or illness
- •Performance classes: Make-ups allowed depending on class and student availability
Dogs in Heat/Season
- •Foundation classes & scent work: Girls in heat/season are not allowed, but make-up classes are offered
- •Upper-level obedience & agility: Girls in season are allowed wearing panties
Code of Conduct
Disruptive behavior from handlers is strictly prohibited. As classes take place in a group setting, it is vital that your conduct does not disturb the learning environment.
Whether engaging in arguments with instructors or displaying harsh treatment towards dogs, such behavior will result in dismissal from class. Depending on severity, you may receive a warning or be immediately excused.
No refunds will be provided for dismissal due to inappropriate behavior.
