Board & Train
Sometimes your dog needs a little more time and experience to help them learn basic obedience skills and manners.
Or maybe you've hit a training roadblock and need someone with the expertise to help your dog develop the skills to compete at the level you know they're capable of.
Our Board and Train program may be just what your dog needs!
Your dog will spend its days learning skills and living with one of our three trainers: Patti Engleman, Kaitlyn Glidden or Lindsey King. During that time, your dog will live and train as their dogs do during the day and evenings, with crate training at night. Your dog is fed on the schedule you have and will be integrated with the trainer’s dogs. Your dog will not only have in-home training but will also be taken to Bell Creek’s class building to be worked and trained as well as taken around town and to dog sports events (when applicable), so that they learn to listen regardless of location.
Twice weekly updates are provided so that you can see your dog's progression.
Board and Train is currently limited to a maximum of 2-3 dogs per trainer to ensure lots of working time, and is available for: • Foundation obedience skills (with two 30-minute private sessions after completion) • Competition obedience (with four 30-minute private lessons after completion) • Agility training (with four 30-minute private lessons after completion)
The cost for foundation obedience training is $500 per week with a minimum two week stay. Rates can and will be broken down to daily for anything in-between a week. The cost for sport training is $650 per week with a minimum of a two week stay. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your spot.
Note: We cannot accept aggressive dogs into our board and train program but would be happy to evaluate its behavior around other dogs or people and offer recommendations. We strongly recommend a minimum three to four week stay for dogs that are fearful, reactive, or have unwanted behaviors that have been unintentionally rewarded for a long period of time.
Bonus! Bell Creek has always taken student dogs for boarding, but we are offering a discount of $30 per night for prior Board and Train students, so when you have to leave town, you can leave your pup in capable hands that will maintain their training.
