Board & Train Program

Our Board & Train program is designed for dogs who need extra structure, focused training time, and expert guidance to build solid obedience skills and good manners. Your dog will stay in our trainers’ homes and become part of their daily routine—receiving consistent training, plenty of practice, and real-world experience throughout their stay.

What Your Dog Can ExpectYour dog will live and train with one of our experienced trainers--Patti Engleman or Lindsey King. While in our homes, your dog will:
  • Follow a structured daily routine with individualized training and enrichment
  • Practice crate training at night
  • Eat according to the schedule you provide
  • Be integrated with the trainer’s own dogs for appropriate social exposure
  • Train in multiple environments, including in-home, Bell Creek’s class building, around town, and at dog sports events when appropriate. Training is geared toward your goals.
This variety ensures that your dog learns to listen and respond reliably. You’ll receive twice-weekly updates so you can follow your dog’s progress.

To ensure every dog receives the time and attention they deserve, our Board & Train program is limited to 2–3 dogs per trainer.
Programs offered include:
  • Foundation Obedience
    Includes two 30-minute private sessions after completion
  • Agility Training
    Includes four 30-minute private lessons after completion
Rates
  • $630 per week
    Minimum stay of 3 weeks 
    Daily rates are available for partial-week stays.
  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your spot.
Requirements:

For the safety and well-being of all dogs in our care, we require:
  • Current Rabies and Parvo/Distemper vaccinations
  • Recommended Bordetella vaccine and parasite prevention, as your dog will visit public areas and encounter other dogs
Behavior: We cannot accept aggressive dogs into the Board & Train program. However, we’re happy to evaluate your dog’s behavior around people and other dogs and offer recommendations.

For dogs that are fearful, reactive, or have long-standing unwanted behaviors, we highly recommend a 4–5 week stay to allow adequate time for progress. This can be discussed during your free evaluation.

Bonus previous Board & Train Graduates receive discounted in-home boarding at $45 per night, so you can travel knowing your dog is in capable hands that will maintain their training.
