Obedience Classes
Listed below are our class descriptions as well as our upcoming classes. We are currently transitioning from our current program to a new system. Classes that were already scheduled can be found to the right. All future classes will be found under the register button for their respective classes.
Please see below for full class descriptions. If you are unsure if a class is right for you, you may contact us for assistance and possible evaluation. For your ease we have listed all of our upcoming sessions to the right of the class descriptions. These are the start dates for each session and not the list of class dates. Your class will meet once per week on the same day and time. If you do not see the class you would like on our upcoming list, you may sign up on our wait list or please contact us and we can notify you when it does become available.

Private Obedience Lessons $45.00
These are 30-minute lessons which are ideal for one dog or two lower energy pups. Private lessons are a great way to have a fully customizable experience for you and your pup(s). Whether your schedule does not allow you to attend classes, your pup is not ready for a class environment, or you want to advance at a faster pace, private lessons are a great choice. Private lessons are held at our Bell Creek facility. Dogs do need to be current on vaccines. Bitches in season are allowed in dog panties.

Drop-In Classes $30
These drop-in classes are for dogs that already have the basics, but need to work on timing, focus, and engagement around other dogs and can use some guidance on how to take their communication skills to the next level.

S.T.A.R. PUPPY $175.00
To participate in classes, all puppies must have up-to-date vaccinations. This includes the first booster, which is typically administered by the breeder or shelter before sending the puppies home. The second shot in this series is required prior to the start of the classes.
During the six-week course, puppies will be introduced to essential commands such as sit, down, wait/stay, settle, recall, and loose leash walking in a fun and engaging manner that enhances their learning process. Additionally, we will address important topics such as potty training, chewing, giving, and nail trimming/grooming. To ensure proper socialization, puppies will have dedicated time at the end of each class to interact with other dogs of similar size and age. Our CGC elevator instructor will guide the class, and at the end of the program, puppies will be evaluated based on AKC STAR Puppy guidelines.
ADVANCED PUPPY $175.00
This program is designed for young puppies to further develop the skills they learned in our S.T.A.R. puppy course. We will focus on refining their behaviors and introducing more challenging distractions to stimulate their cognitive abilities! Additionally, towards the end of each class, there will be supervised playtime based on the size and temperament of the pups.
The class is exclusively for puppies under one year old who have successfully completed our S.T.A.R. Puppy classes.
Good Dog 101 $175.00
This six-week course is specifically designed to establish a strong foundation for effective teamwork among dogs. It is open to all dogs that are able to participate in a class environment. Throughout the course, dogs will be introduced to essential commands such as sit, down, wait/stay, settle, recall, and loose leash walking. These commands will be taught in a fun and engaging manner, ensuring a solid understanding and retention for the dogs. Additionally, we will address common challenges related to potty-training, chewing behavior, as well as cover topics like giving/drop it, nail trims, and other grooming techniques. Unlike the STAR PUPPY program, this course does not include socialization between dogs. However, it will serve as a strong foundation for successfully passing the AKC Canine Good Citizen test, as well as provide the necessary skills to excel in agility, rally, and formal obedience training.
Good Dog 201 $175.00
Our meticulously designed six-week course is tailored to enhance your dog's existing skills, building upon the foundational and intermediate classes. Through this program, your furry friend will consistently perform behaviors, even in the face of distractions.
This course welcomes dogs of all ages who have successfully completed our Advanced Puppy or Good Dog 101 courses, or with instructor permission. Join us in unlocking your dog's full potential!

About the Town $140.00
This four-week class is specifically designed for teams that have already established a strong foundation in obedience training at home or in a classroom setting, but could benefit from additional guidance in real-world situations.
The initial class will convene at Bell Creek, with each subsequent week being held at a different location chosen to provide diverse training opportunities.
Rest assured that this class will boast the expertise of highly skilled instructors.
*Prerequisite: Completion of STAR Puppy, Good Dog 101, or similar class.
Hiking Manners $140.00
In this class, teams will be taught how to be focus on their owners on trails, politely allow dogs to pass, walk in groups, and work on recalls on long-line or off leash depending on each team's experience. One dog per handler for this class. No young children as we want to be able to focus on the dogs and the environment. While we have gear for working dogs, we do recommend bringing your own long-line to allow for recall and distance work.
Emails will be sent out before the first class to establish meeting place.

AKC FIT DOG $175.00
In this fun fitness class your pups will learn proper form and safety for doing various fitness activities. Your pups will be taught the following by our AKC Certified Fit Dog Instructor: Tuck sit Nose touch Front paw targeting Shake a paw Cookie stretch Kick back stand Spin left/right Fold back down Cavaletti poles Pivot rear legs
This class is not meant for rehabilitation but to help inspire you to engage in more fitness related activities with your dog. Teams will be provided with AKC Skills sheets to track progress and on the last week will be evaluated by our instructor. Passing teams can turn in their forms to AKC to receive their official certificate!
Dogs must have completed Good Dog 101, STAR Puppy, or have permission from the instructor to take this class. Dogs should have a flat-buckle collar, lots of treats, a six-foot lead, and current vaccinations.

AKC FIT DOG
Level 2/3 Combined $175.00
The AKC FIT DOG Level 2 course builds off of the fundamental skills and concepts learned in Fit Dog 1 and continues to foster canine conditioning to increase your dog’s performance, increase endurance, decrease risk of injury and lower stress levels. This course is designed to inspire dog owners to engage in low impact fitness-related activities, while minimizing the risk of injury or harm due to inexperienced instruction.
Canine core and full body fitness are also superb base training for dog teams that participate in agility, scent and nose sports, rally, disc sports, FastCat, etc.
The 6 week long level two class is for owners who are interested in exploring the world of dog sports and are looking to develop canine conditioning skills. You and your dog will learn proper form for positions, canine fitness safety and skills to help with strength, flexibility, balance, stamina and more.
Attendees will track their skills and progress using a provided AKC Skills sheet and will be evaluated at the last class (week 6) by the AKC Fit Dog Instructor/Evaluator and receive an AKC Fit Dog Certificate.
*Prerequisite AKC Fit Dog Level 1
Canine Good Citizen $175.00
This six-week class focuses specifically on the points of the American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen Program.
This class will cover all elements of the test focusing on what each individual team needs to be successful. At the end of the six weeks, an independent CGC elevator will administer the test. Dogs are required to have passed Advanced Puppy, Good Dog 201, or a like-class from another training program.

Novice Obedience $175.00
This class is geared to help teams ready to compete in the AKC Novice Obedience Ring and is open to dogs of any age. Teams must already have an understanding of basic obedience. We will cover proper heeling at different speeds, halts, fronts, finishes, recalls, figure-eights, and on-leash stays.
Dogs are required to have passed Advanced Puppy, Good Dog 201, or a like-class from another training program.
Open Obedience $175.00
This class will work on specific skills each from AKC's Open and Utility classes and is limited to five dogs.
